Campus to City Canter

About:

The Campus to City Canter is a 5km fun run starting from SportUNE Consett Davis sporting fields then following the cycleway into the city and finishing at Civic Park. It is an annual event held in conjunction with SportUNE as part of the Armidale Autumn Festival. The event is a community event aimed at all ages and ability and is open to the general public as well as Armidale Athletics Club members.

Medals are awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd fastest times for both Male and Female entrants and for the fastest team. A team must comprise a minimum of three members and has no maximum, with the fastest team being determined as the team who is first to have three of its members complete the event.

The event crosses several roads as it follows the cycleway to Civic Park, these roads may have road closures or be manned with traffic control personnel (or volunteer marshals), at all times you must look out for your own safety, the safety of others and obey the direction given by traffic control personnel/marshals.

All entries for the event are to be done online. There will be an entry fee of $10.00, as the event is a fund-raising event, and to help cover with the cost of providing the event.

2024 Campus to City Canter Detail:

  • Date: Saturday, 6th April 2024
  • Venue:
    • Start: SportUNE, Consett Davis Sporting Fields
    • Finish: Civic Park, Armidale City
  • Time:
    • Start: 8:00am, SportUNE, (pre-event warmup prior to start)
    • Finish: It is anticipated all entrants will have cleared the course by 9:30am with the event packed away by 10:00am
  • Getting to SportUNE start:
    • As there is limited parking at SportUNE, it is advisable to carpool or seek alternative transport arrangements.
    • Edwards Coaches will provide free transport from the Visitor Information Centre to SportUNE on the morning of the event:
      • Departing: 7:00am and 7:30am
  • Runbib Collection:
    • Runbib pickup is available from SportUNE Foyer on:
      • Thursday 4th April, 4:30pm to 7:00pm & Friday 5th April, 9:30am to 11:00am (for those entered by Midday Thursday 4th April).
      • Friday 5th April, 4:30pm to 7:00pm (for all entries).

    • There will be a cost of $10.00 per entry.
    • Online entry will open on Monday, 4th March 2024.
    • Online entry will close on Friday, 5th April 2024 at 12pm.
