2024-25 Summer Season
- Wednesday Athletics at Harris Park
- The Summer Season has begun – Wednesday, 16th October 2024, 4:15pm for a 4:30pm start and each Wednesday (unless cancelled due to weather), with a break over Christmas & New Year.
- Track and Field events will be held for All age groups.
Registration for the 2024-25 season
- Armidale Athletics Club is a ‘One Athletics Club’, meaning the Club is affiliated with LANSW and ANSW being able to take membership from the age of 3+
- With the LANSW & ANSW Partnership, All membership registrations will be done Online via the RevolutioniseSport platform.

- Membership registrations are now open, with Season Membership running from 1st September 2024 until 31st August 2025.
- Great News: For this Season Armidale Athletics Club will NOT charge a club component for membership registration, (Members will only be charged the LANSW/ANSW fee).
Up-coming Events for the 2024-25 season
- LA Zone Championship, Saturday, 23rd November 2024, Tamworth Athletics Track
- Open to age groups 7’s to 17’s (U18) at a cost of $10 per Athlete.
- Armidale Athletics Club encourages all eligible members to enter, as this is a pathway to further championship competition (depending on age).
- Zone Athlete Nomination Form (HERE) and payment must be returned to the Club by Wednesday, 6th November 2024.
Winter Cross Country
- Winter cross country at SportUNE will conclude on Wednesday, 11th September.
2024-25 Summer Season
- Two Come-&-Try days will be held in September 2024 at Harris Park
- Come-&-Try day 1: Wednesday, 18th September, 4:15pm for a 4:30pm start.
- Come-&-Try day 2: Wednesday, 25th September, 4:15pm for a 4:30pm start.

Our Presentation Day and AGM was held on 28th April 2024
- Congratulations to all who received awards, medallions and trophies at Presentation.
- We had a successful AGM with all Executive positions being filled and new members joining the Committee.

Winter Cross Country for 2024 Season
- There are changes to this season’s cross country.
- A move away from Moran Oval to SportUNE and courses within the grounds of UNE.
- It has become increasingly difficult to get the Traffic Management Plan required for Moran Oval approved and the Committee have decided to trial a Season at SportUNE.
- New course distances are on offer, all within the grounds of UNE.
- Course distances available are 1km, 2km, 3km & 5km.
- Cross Country will be held on Wednesday’s at 4:15pm for a 4:30pm start.
- Start and finish from SportUNE Oval near the car park in between the hockey grounds and SportUNE facilities.
- Week 1 of Cross Country commenced on Wednesday, 15th May 2024.

Presentation Day & AGM – Sunday, April 28th
- Presentation will commence at 10:30am.
- AGM to follow Presentation.
- There will be kid’s activities set up while the AGM is in progress.
- Free BBQ to finish proceedings.

- Thank you to all who participated in the 2024 Canter on a glorious New England Autumn morning.

- 5km run/walk from SportUNE along the cycleway finishing at Civic Park – Sat, 6th April.
- Open to All members of the community, cost $10.00 per entry.

- Wednesday Athletics at Harris Park will now recommence on Wednesday 24th January 2024 at 4:15pm.
ANSW 2024 Country Champs – Wollongong
- 2024 NSW Country Championships, Wollongong, 19th – 21st January 2024.
LA Regional Championship – Tamworth
- LA Region 1 Championship, Tamworth, 3rd – 4th February 2024.
Christmas Breakup & BBQ
- Wednesday the 13th December will be our last meet for the year with the Summer Athletic Season recommencing on Wednesday the 17th January 2024.
- Wednesday the 13th December will be a skills day and hurdles with a party atmosphere and free sausage sizzle (available to ALL athletes registered with Armidale Athletics Club).

ANSW Regional Championship – NSW North
- Entries are now open for the ANSW Regional Championships at Newcastle, 16-17 December.

2023 NSW Regional Championships – NSW North, Newcastle, 16 – 17 December 2023
- ANSW Regional Championship for NSW North will be held at Fernley Dawes Athletic Track, Newcastle on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 December 2023.
- Athletes do not have to be a member with ANSW to compete in the Regional Championship.
- All entries must be submitted online.
- The cost for athletes registered with ANSW through Armidale Athletics Club as an Open, Junior, Youth, Kids or Concession member is $20 for up to four (4) events, the cost of entry for athletes not registered with ANSW (or Community Members) is $32.50 for up to four (4) events.
- Events will be provided in the following age groups: U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12 & U14, U18, Open and Masters (35+ and 50+).
- All competing athletes must wear the Armidale uniform with black shorts.
- Relay entries can be submitted on the day of competition no later than 30 minutes to the relay start time.
- Relays will be offered for the following age groups: U9, U12 & Open.
LA Zone Athletics Competition – Now at Tamworth, 25th November 2023
- The Zone Little Athletics competition is coming up in Tamworth on Saturday 25 November. The entry fee is $10 per athlete.
- Nomination forms are available on our website and we will have some available at the canteen counter for the next 3 weeks. Nomination forms and the $10 entry fee need to be submitted by Wednesday 8 November.
- U7-U11 can nominate for up to 4 events. U12-U17 can nominate for up to 6 events. Attending athletes may also be chosen to represent the Club in the junior/senior relays.
- All competing athletes must wear the Armidale uniform with black shorts. Age number and bib must be affixed to the uniform in the correct position. Uniforms are available to purchase at the canteen and a new order of sizes will be arriving soon.
- Progression
- U7 can compete at Zone only.
- U8 can complete at Zone with the top 4 places progressing to Region.
- U9-U17 can compete at Zone with the top 4 places progressing to Region. The top 2 places at Region will progress to State.
- For relays, the top 2 places at Zone will progress to Region. First place at Region will progress to State.
